We
are pleased to
announce that
following on from
the success of
our Yorkshire
Dales Heritage
and History Trail,
we will be offering
the Lake District
Poets Trail in
2009.
This guided and
fully supported walking tour will take you to
some of the finest locations in the glorious
Lakeland countryside that inspired some of our
greatest poets and artists.
The tour is for
anyone that has an interest in experiencing the
real beauty of the dramatic landscapes that gave
birth to the works of William Wordsworth, Sir
Walter Scott, Coleridge and Shelley to name but
a selection of our finest poets.
Our knowledgeable
guides will transport you back in time and help
you to explore the valleys and mountain tops
that fired the imagination of these great
artisans.
The
tours are based
around the Keswick
area and are between
3 - 5 days in
duration. The
5 day itinerary
includes visiting
places, hills
lakes and valleys
walked by the
Poets themselves
in their search
for inspiration.
Both tours visit
Grasmere and Rydal
Water, the home
and last resting
place of William
Wordsworth.
Accommodation is
arranged to suit individual client needs.
